Roque-Gageac and Poppies

Another wonderful place in France – Roque-Gageac on the side of the Dordogne River.

Everywhere we went there were fields of poppies.  These are my favourite flowers – I was so happy to see them everywhere and to see so many!

  1. In Australia (and Britain) the red poppies have a particular significance. Here they are bought on Remembrance Day -11 am on 11th November, to commemorate in particular the soldiers in WW1. The money raised is for the RSL (Returned Services League)
